I am sorry that I was gone for too long, I was out of town for a career course, and it made me soooo busy when I got home. Anyway, I am glad that friends still caught up, and some were even very nice to send me feeds to my email.
Anyway, welcome, year 2008! To start the year, there is some thing that really bothers me, that needs the attention of concerned individuals, especially the management of butterfly garden. Last December, I escorted the wifey of an AFP general in the Butterfly Garden. When I told Madame that I will bring her there, she was so excited because she expected to pick some landscaping ideas. But when we got there, full disappointment flushed over us, and even to other visitors! Hey, the place was so untidy! Grasses and weeds overgrown; no sign of maintenance for months! I am more ashamed because I blabbed about the place, even featured it here. But now? We could not even say that it is a butterfly garden anymore—too few butterflies exist—not even a simple garden for that matter. My visitor was so disappointed, and even more with the maintenance fee we paid.
I am glad that when I brought her to the Baker’s Hill Park, all her disappointments were replaced with enthusiasm. We cant blame her. Baker’s Hill does not ask for maintenance fee from the visitors, yet the place shines with care. She was impressed by the landscaping, and the evident effort of the management to provide free but wonderful recreational park to its patrons. The management would not even oblige you to buy from their line of goodies—and goodies they are!
